Atlantic City Wedding at The Claridge {Kristen & Tyler}

Oh, and I almost forgot, the room didn't have a "do Not disturb" sign, but at 9 am sharp, housekeeping came knocking. Guests 1 room , 2 adults , 0 children Guests 1 2. Can you get a nicer place to stay in AC? We checked in to our room, which was average we had plastic rose petals on the bed when we arrived and went to the spa. We decided to check out early and spoke to the front desk manager who stated we we were overreacting by being upset and was very nasty with us. Isn't turndown usually between 5 and 9? Lowest prices for your stay. This warning is repeated when you check-in. There is an overhead rainshower pan and a handheld wand, and you can have one, the other or both on. The knob, however, does not label how to do that, so trial and error got it done for me. The lobby is warm and relaxing. They carried their water theme quite well. So, enjoy the Water Club, but try to get a deal if you can. A nice change from some of the other places in AC. Also the water club claimed that they made the strawberries fresh every half hour that means someone from the staff took 6 strawberries covered in mold and purposefully dipped them in chocolate to trick their guest. Everyone is friendly and willing to offer help, directions or just a warm smile. They wake you up at 9am to clean your room. When we got back, we still had not received our strawberries, so my husband called to remind them. If you don't want to be charged, just don't touch anything! The room also does not have in-room coffee; which was not a concern for me on this trip, but would be had I been here otherwise. This is not the first place to have them. I really liked the modern clean lines and colors of the decor - soothing. Date of stay: June Trip type: Traveled as a couple.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} Get used to it. The house keeping maid was super annoying. My husband called the hotel medic who stated there was no health hazard in eating mold covered fruit but it was disgusting. Very comfortable and well appointed room. Housekeeping knocked at pm for a turndown. Once you move it, it will be charged to your credit card. We had 2 supposedly queen size beds. Yes, the minibar is pressure sensitive, and that includes the contents of the fridge and the snacks that sit out on top. But she act like she was so desperately waiting to clean our room. We search up to sites for the lowest prices. Very pleasant stay!!! A tropical lounge that is really relaxing. After several requests to speak to the hotel manager the front desk manager said they would have risk assessment call us. We received this room as a comp. The main Borgata tower does offer in-room coffee. You all know what's in there anyway Room was impossibly clean and new; in fact, when I got off the elevator, the hallway still had "new carpet smell". We stayed from Friday-Sunday. I think she was secretly waiting to steal and go through our stuff. The bathroom only has stand up shower and no tub. The only thing that was made was our beds. It was late and we were exhausted after having a great wedding, so we ordered room service. Probably not, and that's where they have you. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}My husband and I stayed at the Water Club the night of our wedding because we wanted to stay at one of the best hotels in NJ. It is a beautiful hotel, but it simply does not command those kinds of prices. Honestly, we have had much better stays in Manhattan for less money, including a small plate of chocolate covered strawberries, glass of sparkling wine at check-in and late check out 4PM with CD player and some select CDs in the room. The Water Club Hotel at Borgata. Overall, I think it is a very nice hotel, something for which AC has been in dire need, but think that it is not worth its top asking price. Again, the space in the hotel was very nice, but does not really warrant the cost. I was already in bed and half alseep by this time. A nice personal touch. Risk management finally called us and offered to pay for the cost of our room. My husband called the manager and their initial response was that the hotel would pick up the cost of the molded strawberries!! Show Prices. The pictures posted here on TA accurately depict the rooms. It is a very nicely appointed large hotel with spacious rooms. The shower, while really nice, was slightly confusing to operate, as the knobs are not clearly labeled. But believe me the beds are super tiny. There did not appear to be a way to get a better pillow choice. It was getting late and we were exhausted when we finally received our strawberries, we each ate one and went to sleep. Just returned from a 1 night stay at Water Club for a convention. Borgata action is only a few steps away. Luckily this room was free, because it is so not worth the price its worth to stay a night. I would recommend taking advantage of the pool and jacuzzi off the spa if you have the time - it is part of the service for the day. They are way overpriced. Had room service and the dinner was sumptuous. After arguing with her in the lobby they called out six security guards and threaten us. What the heck is that? This is just how minibars are these days, folks. We told her to come back at noon and once we were ready we left at 11am and she was standing in front of our room the whole time just waiting. When we got our dinner, the food was awful!! Like saving money? The candles while checking in makes one feel so good. The guy holding the glass door to the elevator lobby was perky and cheerful and the concierge was helpful when we asked for a restaurant recommendation. Valet service was better than usual - best part of the service. The color scheme is wonderful in this elegant room. The TV was already on when I entered the room and said "welcome" with my first and last name. Oh and the TV does not work, it skips every few minutes. Log in to get trip updates and message other travelers. More Show less. We returned the fish that was bad and smelled like ammonia and ordered a pasta dish instead that tasted terrible and was expensive but we were tired and decided to forget about it and make the most of our special evening. They've been in Vegas, New York and other parts of the world for years now. The next morning I woke up and looked at the remaining strawberries and was absolutely shocked when I saw that every single strawberry was covered with mold, even the stems from The next morning I woke up and looked at the remaining strawberries and was absolutely shocked when I saw that every single strawberry was covered with mold, even the stems from the night before were covered in mold. The bed at Water Club was firm and the pillows were very soft, which was OK, but I prefer a slightly softer bed like the Heavenly Bed by Westin and slightly firmer pillows. The stay, however, was not without its oddities. When you make your reservation, you are warned not to move items out of the minibar or you will be immediately charged apparently the items are loaded on a scale that is connected to some computer-cach register. Ask yourself if someone gave you a strawberry covered in mold how much would they have to pay you to eat it? At the recommendation of the conceirge, my husband wanted to surprise me with chocolate covered strawberries, and the hotel staff told him that they would send them to our room once we checked in because they make them fresh and they weren't sure what time we were going to arrive. I was impressed by the size my 1 King room was bigger than Borgata's main tower 1 king rooms and the decor. Save up your comp dollars if you really are yearning to stay here they do let you apply them to your final bill upon checkout, but only if you go to the front desk to do so. I need to find something like that in AC, apparently it won't be at the very expensive Water Club by Borgata. In fact, there wasn't even a bell man to lead you to your room when you checked in - you know, how someone usually shows you the amenties and how the tv works, checks over the room with you making sure everything works and answering your questions etc. Lovely atmoshpere, good drinks and tapas. Makes you wonder what else they are doing to the food and why my fish smelled like ammonia.
